Oh, and one more thing, something special for my husband\u2026\u2026\u2026.a raspberry crumb cake. He always has had a sweet tooth.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_765\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-765\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-765\" src=\"https:\/\/galleychef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Gravlox-300x225-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Gravlax with capers and mustard-dill sauce\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/galleychef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Gravlox-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/galleychef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Gravlox-300x225-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-765\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gravlax with capers and mustard-dill sauce<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">With all the food on the table (except the eggsBenedict, which were made to order),\u00a0family and friends gathered enthusiastically to celebrate.\u00a0 My daughter made a scalloped oyster dish that has been in our family since I was a small child.\u00a0 A neighbor friend of ours shared the recipe with my Mom and Dad that had been in her family for generations.\u00a0 We loved it so much, it has become a tradition.\u00a0 My daughter\u2019s boyfriend contributed a\u00a0scalloped potato dish with a beautiful golden-brown crusty cheese top.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What a wonderful Christmas day it was.
